Differences between
CTL (Colesville Tennis Ladder)
and
GTA (Greenbelt Tennis Association)
Tournaments:

CTL: www.tennisladder.com

CTL Tournaments are Free but players must provide their own balls. Winner keeps the new can. So at most you will only have to provide one can. Winners won't have to provide any cans. There are no trophies and players must contact their opponents to arrange a place and time. Players are "on their own".

GTA: www.greenbelt.com/tennis

Greenbelt has four or five tournaments per year. If there is enough interest, there will also be a Ladder Tournament for those that play on the GTA Ladder. Tournaments are $5 for GTA members and $10 for non-members. GTA provides the balls and the winners and runner ups get trophies. GTA Membership is $10 per person per year. 6 of the 8 Braden Field tennis courts in Greenbelt are reserved for 1 or 2 weekends and players are assigned times, when the Draws are set up. GTA provides more of a tournament atmosphere than the CTL tournaments because several matches are played at the same time and place.
